The Gozney Dome Gen 2 is a large dual-fuel outdoor oven aimed at people who want more cooking space than a compact pizza oven provides. It can run on gas or wood and is designed for pizza as well as roasting and other live-fire cooking.

What the specifications show

According to Gozney, the standard Dome Gen 2 weighs 62kg and offers 40% more internal cooking space than the original Dome. The company says it can accommodate two 10-inch pizzas, one 16-inch pizza or two full roasting trays.

That makes it a substantial appliance rather than something most owners will move around casually. Anyone considering it needs to think about a stable outdoor position, weather protection and the space required around a hot oven.

Who it is for

The Dome Gen 2 makes most sense for enthusiastic home cooks who regularly use an outdoor kitchen and want the flexibility of both pizza and broader fire-based cooking. For an occasional pizza night, a smaller and less expensive oven may be easier to justify.

The previous headline called this a “review”, but British Works did not document a hands-on test. This article has therefore been reframed as a specifications-led look at the product rather than pretending to offer first-hand testing.
